Buyer Guide

Buying a property in Morocco is a natural addition to buying a property in France for Francophiles, as the principal language used for business is French and the process of buying is the same as in France. Potential purchasers of Moroccan property will be met by our representative at either Marrakech airport or their hotel. Clients will then be taken to see properties.

When a purchaser finds a suitable property a compromis (sales agreement) is signed and a 10% deposit paid to secure the property and then the sales process is conducted by a notaire. Agency commission of between 2.5% and 6% will be in addition. The legal fees are 6% of the sales price for properties sold fully furnished and ready to move into. For properties needing modernisation the legal fees are 10%. A translator can be made available (at the buyer's expense) for the signing of the final Acte de Vente or completion. Moroccan mortgages can be obtained.
